File under “neo-traditional.” Nice to hear some of these recent metal acts with actual singing! A refreshing change from the now-cliched “extreme” vocals.

I’m occasionally a fan of the extreme vocals (see: Children of Bodom), I am a much bigger fan of clean vox. Give me a Bruce Dickinson/Ronnie James Dio/Rob Halford/Tim “Ripper” Owens/Jon Oliva any day.
