A Thinking Reed

"Man is but a reed, the most feeble thing in nature, but he is a thinking reed" – Blaise Pascal

We’re number 37! USA! USA!

The World Health Organization ranks the world’s health care systems.

EDIT: Note that the ranking is several years out of date. I mistakenly thought it was new data. Post in haste, repent at leisure, I guess…

  1. Well, we should probably take pride in this because once Obama is finished with our health care system I’m sure it will rank much much lower. All of the doctors that I know are certainly convinced of this.

  2. Sure, james0235, and the first priority of the people at investment counselors like Smith Barney is to make their clients rich.

    I believe that, firmly.

And I’m sure you do, too.

Anyway, Lee, have we slipped since we were 37th?

    Are we even worse, now?

  3. The WHO site said they they don’t rank health systems anymore because it’s too complex a task. They did recently release a bunch of data with a nifty sorting tool if you have the inclination for such things.
