  1. I think that these should be the basic principles of any diet! To eat more often but less and vegetables!

For all of Pollan’s appeal, he never really addresses the pressing moral issue of whether it is justifiable to kill animals for food when there are equally nutritious, cost-efficient, readily available plant-based alternatives. In this review of Pollan’s *Omnivore’s Dilemma* from the Atlantic Monthly awhile back, B.R. Myers hits the nail right on the head, in my opinion:
