If you know what’s good for you, you’ll stop watching The OC and start watching The Office

Now if we can just get you two watching Everybody Hates Chris, we’d be in business.

Verbum Ipsum would be funnier if we started hearing more from Abby.

Not that you’re not funny, Lee. Or don’t have a sense of humor. I didn’t say that. At all.

Are you suggesting that tedious discussions of just war theory or soteriology along with doom-mongering about U.S. politics and the occasional nerdy pop culture post do not have a high laugh quotient??

In real life I’m a barrel of laughs. Honest.

p.s. We watched Everybody Hates Chris once and I thought it was cute, but it didn’t bowl me over. Maybe I should give it another chance.

(Alternatively, I could look for more productive ways to spend my time…)

I received similar responses from people when I tried to tell them about Malcolm in the Middle and Arrested Development in their first season, and now look where those two shows are! Oh yeah, cancelled.

P.S. Abby is no laughing matter.
