I see that William C. Placher has a new book out on the Trinity. Placher’s long been a favorite of mine – his Domestication of Transcendence and Jesus Our Savior in particular. Does anyone know anything more about this?

Placher is, indeed the man. Cheers to him for staying at Wabash College all these years too. Although jeers to Wabash for still being an all-male institution.
Have you read his “Unapologetic Theology?” I might be able to get my hands on a copy pretty cheaply and I was wondering if it was worthwhile.
Unfortunately I haven’t. But I’ve always learned something from everything I’ve read by him. I think that’s his case for a “postliberal” theology that isn’t beholden to Enlightenment assumptions about reason, evidence, etc.
