Even though I was unsupportive of the original decision to go to war, I’ve only grudgingly been swayed toward the cut-and-run option. But more and more it seems to me that the longer we stay the more likely we’ll end up backing one side or the other of what will no doubt be a very dirty civil war.

Also, instead on relying on the “Wise Men” of the Iraq Study Group to save us from our folly (for doubts about that see here and here), wouldn’t it be nice if our actual elected representatives were to take the lead on this?
