New Blogs (or at least new to me!)

Via Keith Burgess-Jackson comes the new blog Reductio run by Dave Graham, a libertarian vegan.

Via Camassia I followed the link to Quaker Ranter, the blog of Martin Kelley, a “post-liberal” Quaker living right here in the Philly/South Jersey area apparently (no surprise there).

Also, I’ve recently been alerted to Eric Lee’s modestly titled Eric Is Rad.

    It’s all a façade, really 😛

ericisadork.com was also available and the more likely choice. I guess I fell into the trap of “positive thinking” or something.

But actually, it works out in a more latent sense in that I’ve been leaning more towards what is referred to as “RADical Orthodoxy” lately.

Man, I really am a dork.

By the way, I’m a veg(etari)an as well. I noticed that you’ve had a few posts on such matters, so I wanted to speak up. I’m mostly vegan, but there are occasions when I have dairy or eggs in desserts or whatnot when I am in the company of others. It’s not that I’m intentionally trying to be a bad vegan, but that I think the lessons in Romans 14 are more important and faithful to what it means to being a Christian than one’s quibbles about the matter of what one eats (I don’t tread into eating meat, though, as most people are sensitive to that these days, thankfully).

I found your previous post (http://verbumipsum.blogspot.com/2004/07/christianity-and-meat-eating.html) and am looking forward to reading that piece by Hauerwas and Berkman you linked to called “The Chief End Of All Flesh.”
